How these rates are produced
Transparency matters more than speed claims.
- Metal prices start from the international spot price and are converted at the live USD to PKR interbank rate, then split into tola, 10 gram and single gram units.
- Currency rates come from a public interbank feed. Open-market buying and selling rates at exchange companies are normally a few rupees higher.
- Every rate stores its previous value, so you always see the direction of movement, not just a bare number.
