PakTools exists to answer a specific kind of question quickly: what is the rate, what is the price, what is the timing, what does this number mean. No newsletter wall, no autoplay video, no five paragraphs before the answer.

Who maintains it
A small team of Pakistani engineers and finance writers who maintain the rate pipeline, verify tax and duty tables against the original notifications, and correct pages when a source changes.
We are not a bank, a jeweller, an exchange company or a government body, and we do not take payment to move a number. When we get something wrong, we correct the page and, if it mattered, note it on the updates page.
Our editorial rules
Short, and applied to every page.
- 1. Live numbers come from a named source, are timestamped in Pakistan Standard Time, and are never hand-edited to look better.
- 2. Tax, duty and tariff figures are copied from the original government notification, with the notification named on the page.
- 3. Where a number is indicative rather than transactable, the page says so instead of implying precision.
- 4. Corrections are made on the page itself, and material changes are noted on the updates page.

Spot gold and silver in US dollars per troy ounce, converted to rupees per tola, 10 grams and gram.

ExchangeRate-API interbank rates
Interbank exchange rates for 32 currency pairs against the Pakistani rupee.

Open-Meteo forecast model
Current conditions and seven-day forecasts for 70 Pakistani cities, in Pakistan Standard Time.
Fetched on request, cached ten minutes
AlAdhan prayer time calculation
Prayer, sehri and iftar timings using the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method with Hanafi Asr.
Calculated daily per city
OGRA and FBR published notifications
Fuel price notifications, income tax slabs and PTA mobile duty tables.
Updated manually when a notification is issued
