Retail fuel prices in Pakistan are set by government notification, not by the open market. Since the move to daily pricing in July 2026, revisions are announced every few days rather than twice a month. We publish only notified prices, with the source attached.

Fuel price questions
How often do petrol prices change in Pakistan?
Until mid-2026 prices were revised twice a month, on the 1st and 16th. In July 2026 the government moved to daily petroleum pricing, so notifications now come every few days and each one states the dates it applies to.
Why is the price the same across cities?
Retail fuel prices are notified nationally, so the pump price in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar is the same apart from a small number of remote-area adjustments.
How much of the petrol price is tax?
Roughly Rs114 per litre of the petrol price and Rs100 per litre of the high-speed diesel price is petroleum levy, duties and other government charges.
Do you estimate the price between notifications?
No. If a new notification has not been recorded yet, the page keeps showing the last notified price with its effective date instead of guessing a number.
